Library Visit

Today we visited the library. One new thing I loved was the shorter shelf's.

The Evil Burs

We grip on tight to just one of the colossal branches as we glare at all of the filthy victims hastily sprinting past. We carefully scheme our plan to mutilate these tiny children “ah ha that is just it we will jump down and prick their tiny little feet.”

Crack! One branch down, now for all of the other branches. “I know! We can blow as hard as we can that might work!” ... just when we were about to blow a ginormous gush of wind swallows us up and spits us out.

Finally, the frigid wet grass scratches my back as we try to tumble around to get to the children's thunderous feet. “Ugh this is no use our scheme was a fail now we are going to be squashed and flattened by THE MONSTER …

Tennis

Today we went to go see Sam at the tennis courts it was lots of fun,  sorry we did not get more photos it rained to much.

Today we went to go see all of the animals from pet day and also went to go see all of the animals from pet day and since it was already such a fun day we also did our scary fish art here are some photos of our day.

Summer Story

Slowly I amble out of the cooled restaurant suddenly the sense of food  disintegrates into the air.The searing sun makes a thick layer of heat over the top of my scorching head. The sun bites me. "This day could not possibly get worse!" being as hot as a pepper I slowly make my way to a shady spot.

Fruit Burst Writing Discription

Sitting there was the soft melting candy my mouth waters and my hands shudder lying on  it's podium with bright orange skin was... the orange fruit burst. I slowly unravel the melted candy and suck on it's orange flavoured body. Gluttonously I chow into the sweet candy, I start to smile this is delightful candy, slowly it dissolves into the depths of my stomach also know as the pit of death for scrumptious foods.

Short Film

We have worked on creating a story board from a short script.

Our script was:

Sally can feel Beth looking at her and sees Beth’s unfortunate sandwich.  She then looks back up at her sad face.  Sally starts to feel guilty and reluctantly offers Beth her sandwich.  Beth snatches it out of her hand and gleefully eats it.  Now Sally feels sad!.

Should The School Day Go Until 5pm

I think the school day should not go until 5pm.Firstly because if they had after school activities you would miss them.Secondly they would have to have dinner late.Finally it might be hard for their parents to get there at that time.

Firstly they would miss any after school activities they might have Which means you wouldn't get any exercise.Which means you could also get obese and unhealthy which would lead to high blood preasure.It could also lead to 1 kind of heart disease and 2 kinds of diabities.And if you try and exercies while obsese it will stress your joints.

Secondly you would have to have dinner late which would mean you would not be able to learn and you would also go to bed without food which could also mean you would not be eating like you regularly should  be.And a child can last 35 hours but you can only 1 hour without wanting food.

Thirdly It could be hard for the parents to get there at that time which means it could be dangerous for the child to walk home at 5pm And also you should be over 13 to walk around by yourself at that time.

So personally I think that kids should not be left at school until 5pm.

         Today we planted daffodils ready for daffodil day.

Good Food & Bad Food

Bacon

The revolting smell of grease dripping meat over powers over every stench in the cafe, even my dads stinky socks and nothing can over power my dads stinky socks. "Disgusting!!" I shouted. Everybody glared at me... My brother argued "Bacon is delicious!!"

Curry

A hot steaming bowl of curry flooded rice. With one hand on my silver blunt knife , the other wrinkled hand on a sharp rusted fork. Slowly my hands start to move , my fork dips in , I pull it out and it has a big peice of perfectly cooked chicken. I obsorb the whole bowl like a sponge. I wonder what's for pudding?

A soft lavender quilt surrounds me like a sea of flowers. Skinny grey legs of tables in each corner. Red,blue and white fluffy carpet beneath my long heavy body.   Black dirty shoes and rusted buckles sit patiently in the middle of the flat lonely table.

Week 7 maths strategy

Dingy Disaster

So what happened with the dingy? We think that someone climbed up to the roof of the syndicate 3 toilet's and they obviously really wanted to get it up there.  But luckily the strong Matua Manu let it down safely and is now being returned to syndicate 2.

Smokey wind drags it's way to the old oak

tree.Children cough and sneeze a gooey green gloop.Fire bunches in a small circle around the barrel.Inside the barrel was crumbly wahie (firewood).Another long snake of lumbering children sit themselves down onto a comfterbal patch of luchuise grass.A big sink in the middle of the feild draws attention to young learners.Miti (meat) kumara and kapeti (cabbege) delicous!!!

Our Trip To The Courier & Space Center

Today we went on a class trip. My favorite part was looking at the old newspapers at the Te Awamutu Courier.

Two things I learnt were

• How to briefly use a professional camera 
• The history of the courier
